How Does Networking Work?

The Cube ships with an integrated Verizon 5G router that exposes:

• Wi‑Fi + LAN – A local SSID and two Gigabit Ethernet ports for devices, PLCs, and sensors. The Cube advertises itself as the default gateway (192.168.50.1 by default).

• Out‑of‑band 5G WAN – Management and telemetry travel over an encrypted cellular tunnel that is separate from user traffic, ensuring the Cube can call home even when the site LAN is down.

User workloads can be pinned to Wi‑Fi/LAN only or allowed egress via 5G with network policies. Cubes at the same site automatically form a mesh overlay network so services can talk to each other with low‑latency layer‑3 reachability.
